# START HERE — VulaPrize Pure PHP + phpMyAdmin

This is the strict **PHP + MySQL/phpMyAdmin** cPanel package for VulaPrize + VulaPulse.

Use this package when you do **not** want Laravel, Composer, PostgreSQL or Node.js.

## Fast path

1. Upload this ZIP into your cPanel account home directory (the directory one level above `public_html`), **not inside `public_html`**, then extract it. The archive has `public_html/` and `vulaprize-app/` at its top level. If your File Manager cannot extract into the home directory, extract locally and upload those two folders to the paths shown in `PHP_PHPMYADMIN_INSTALLATION.md`.
2. Create a MySQL/MariaDB database and user in cPanel. Use the full prefixed names shown by cPanel and grant the user **ALL PRIVILEGES**.
3. Set writable permissions for `vulaprize-app/storage/` and `public_html/media/contest-public/` if your host does not allow PHP to create them automatically.
4. Visit `/setup.php`, enter the database credentials and create your Root Admin. The installer validates the connection, creates the schema from `vulaprize-app/database/schema.sql`, writes `.env` outside `public_html` and keeps real-money processing disabled. **You do not need to import SQL manually.**
5. Immediately delete `public_html/setup.php` after successful setup.
6. Visit `/login` and sign in.

Read `PHP_PHPMYADMIN_INSTALLATION.md` for the full install. For a fresh installation, the setup wizard imports the schema automatically; manual phpMyAdmin import is optional.

## Default safety state

Real payments are disabled by default:
